Mike's 911SC certainly draws some attention with its AWC Campy Sport.

And while the end result works very well, sadly this wheel build has a unique story that highlights the AWC experience.

This wheel build actually started as a set of Campy Sport wheels for Mike's narrowbody 964. The wheels we designed and production had started when sadly, that car was lost to an unfortunate accident.

 The beauty of a modular wheel is that you can rebuild the same wheel with different inner and outer wheel parts to create a new wheel with a completely different size and fitment. As the diagrams show, these wheels originally started as 17x7+55 and 17x9+55 (a classic fitment spec for a 964) and were rebuilt to 17x7+16.9 and 17x8.5+10.5 (a modern fitment for a 911SC).

Making lemonade out of lemons enabled us to complete a wheel build for Mike and his 964 is now a distant memory as he is out enjoying his lovely SC.
