DIALed Up the Heat in Thailand
As far as we know, this is the first-and-only Porsche 991 with Dials... and boy does it work. Scaling the aesthetics and proportions of a wheel isn't always that easy. Sometimes a linear scaling distorts the perspective and flavour of the wheel and you end up with something no at all like the original
Several versions of this design were required to create a 20" DIAL that very much paid homage to the original 15" versions. Rendered above are the 20x9" front and 20x11.5" Rear
Another test is simply to take a photo of the completed wheel with nothing else in the photo that enables the creation of scale. This is a 20x11.5" wheel that I'm sure would fool a lot of Porsche purists had they no context for what we had done.
This owner evidently has a fantastic sense of style with the aero, ride height, fitmen and addition of the matching roof box. This car just seems to make smiles when you look at it.
Look at it! It just seems to work so surprisingly well. Thanks to this owner for taking a chance and allowing us the do what we love to do...augment wheels.
